Help Me, Lord…

To Be a Man After Your Own Heart
“We are called to become something other than what we would have been if the call did not exist. We are not permitted to remain passive, but are called upon, by these words, to illuminate a world of spiritual and social darkness.” Lee Cantelon, The Words of Jesus of Nazareth
Prayer of a Righteous Man
The Bible tells us that David was a man after God’s own heart. God honored and blessed this king who loved Him so. David’s love for God was not perfect, and he made grievous mistakes, but his heart kept bringing him back to God.
When the prophet Samuel enlightened David concerning his terrible sin of adultery with Bathsheba and the murder of her husband Uriah, David’s heart would not give him peace until he sought forgiveness from God. David cried, “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me”. (Psalm 51:10)
The righteous man is not perfect. But the righteous man desires perfection and seeks to correct his errors by making amends for his wrongdoing.
My Life Mission
“For David… served the purpose of God on his own generation.”
Acts 13:36
I want to live to serve Jesus, by being an example of His light in my life for my generation and for the generation of my children and grand children, through abiding, enjoying and including.
I want someone to be in heaven because they knew me. Because I made Jesus Christ the center of my life, His character the model for my life, Servant Leadership the contribution of my life and by sharing my mission and testimony (Life Message) of my life, and I made Christ’s bride the Church (all of them) my center for fellowship, accountability and service in my life.
My Life Message
Rejoice O young man, in your youth. And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; walk in the ways of your heart and in the sight of your eyes; But know that for all these, God will bring you into judgment!
Ecclesiastes 11:9-10
Believing is obeying; without obedience sin will only separate you from the Lord God. For only through obedience can you come to know Him, and in knowing Him have a relationship with Him. For while we were still sinners He gave His Son Jesus to live a prefect live for us, be hated and betrayed by those close to Him and crucified to pay our debt for our sins, sins of the past, and sins we will yet commit. Through His blood we are forgiven, through His resurrection we are made presentable to our God the Father. For only in Jesus will we find forgiveness, direction and the light of true purpose for our life.
